The Warrior Leader Course (WLC), formerly the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), is the first course of study in the US Army Non-Commissioned Officer Education System (NCOES). WLC is a 15-day course that trains Soldiers in the fundamentals of leadership.[1] The course curriculum includes instruction in Leadership Skills, Training Skills and Warfighting Skills. As of right now land navigation has been removed from the ciriculum due to this being a unit level task. PRT evaluation is the ability to conduct a PRT session. A passing APFT score is needed to attend WLC, however an APFT is not administered. Also it is broken down in these exams:

WLC is non-specific to the soldier's Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), and graduates are awarded the NCO Professional Development Ribbon.[3] Graduates who are below the rank of Sergeant also earn 80 promotions points that are retained until the graduate has been promoted. [4] The next level of education is Advanced Leader Course (ALC), formerly known as Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course (BNCOC).
